Bi-Weekly – Recap Shenendehowa Girl’s Lacrosse for the week of April 23 – May 13, 2018

Since April 24, the Varsity team has gone 5-1 in Sectional play with the only loss going to a talented Saratoga Blue Streaks team.  We got them on their home field, with a large and vocal fan base, on Saratoga Senior Night, and things did not go our way.

In Non-League play, the Varsity went 3-0 during this 2 weeks of games highlighted by a great home win on our first real spring day against a talented Guilderland squad, 7-5.  Our defense and goalie work shined as the offense did what they needed to do against the defending Suburban Council Champs.

The real highlight of the past 2 weeks was our Varsity Senior Night (article…soon).  Weather was a factor early on and forced the opening ceremonies a bit, but after a short weather delay, our girls outlasted the Ballston Spa Scotties, 15-7.

Suburban Council Record:  7-3
Overall Record: 10-5

On Tuesday, May 17, on OUR TURF the Varsity will face 9-1 Niskayuna @ 5:30.  This is a rivalry game that we need the Shen faithful to show up for and root on our Varsity as we head into Sectional play.

Junior Varsity

The Junior Varsity squad is hitting on all cylinders over the past 2 weeks going 5-0 through May 8.  The JV currently has a recorded record of  7-1.
